WHO IS ATOMIC?
Established in 1949 and owned by the Late Gotkin family until 1985, ATOMIC then operated for a period of five years as part of the Gotkin Trust. In 1990, ATOMIC was sold to a partnership between Viv Hansen and Chris Naude.
In 1994 Waltons, as part of a strategy to add furniture to their office products portfolio, acquired a majority share in ATOMIC. Waltons has subsequently shown its commitment and support for the economic transformation taking place in South Africa. In a similar way to Bidvest, its parent company, Waltons has enabled the current management of ATOMIC to acquire a majority shareholding in the company. ATOMIC is therefore a Black Business Enterprise (BEE), backed by a management team and staff extremely committed to the future of the company.
They will strive to ensure the long-term success of ATOMIC, taking pride in their products and continuing to manufacture superior steel office furniture. |
